I went on line to see if the game schedule for next weekend's spring league is posted yet (it's not) and while cruising around the website of the venue, I saw that in their 7th grade girls league, one team beat another yesterday 70-8!
I would love to know who worked that game. Maybe I'll get some games at that level next weekend. Here's a link to their standings showing the scores of last weekend's game. The standings are updated every Monday. 10-Spring-Hoop-Spring League-7th Grade Girls - Basketball - Beaverton Hoop YMCA , Beaverton, OR BTW - apparently there was also a 4/5 grade boys game that finished 68-10.

Sounds Like Your Kind of League Mark......
Not the slightest risk of OT!

Saw it. You didn't happen to get that coach's name, did you? Just curious.

In the six games I had this weekend, one margin was almost 40 (HS), another was about 30 (MS) and the other four were all between 10 and 20. That's about what I expected.

There were also 8th grade boys finals of 89-21 and 100-35, a 7th grade boys final of 85-23 and a JV boys final of 101-28. Gotta be tough to lose by 73. Also note there's a 25 point mercy rule on no back court so it isn't as if the losing teams were pressured all game.

We've all had blowouts like that. Mine was 73-3, but that's a side note to that day. A boy from the home team's school (not on the team) was murdered three days before the game. That's a whole story in itself, but for another day.
