OT - England basketball referee shirt

Found this on the net. I guess if you're going to referee in England, this is what you wear. And - it's only 29 pounds! Don't ask me to convert that to "real" money. I didn't even know they had a pro league in England, but I guess there's pro leagues all over the place.

I don't think I could run around with that extra weight for a full game.

There are numerous pro leagues internationally. Germany...France...Australia... A lot of guys that played major college ball that go undrafted catch on oveseas, as do a lot of small college elites.

Looks good, but it is cheaply made and looks bad really quickly (pulls and runs in the fabric). The rumour is that we will get a new version this year (third new design in 5 years...)

For the first two years we had it, most of us tried to use the older version.

BTW - the answer to irp's signature, "quis custodiet ipsos custodes", is the guards on the other team.

FIBA Rules call for the officials to wear black shoes, black pants and a gray shirt. I wish that the NFHS and NCAA would adopt gray shirts, at least the NBA has.
