OT-Who says NCAA-W is boring?

My SDSU Aztec Women just knocked off Texas 74-63. They're gunning for UConn next! :D

One upset? That makes it exciting? Not to say that is all this is about, but one upset does not add to the excitement if the top teams almost all the time win.

Peace

True, and I still don't care too much for the NCAA-W tournament. It's just so rare for SDSU to win a game in any NCAA tournament (the men never have) that I'll take what I can get. That being said, go Aztecs!

While I agree with your general point, there was at least one other win by a lower seed. #12 Green Bay defeated #5 Virginia.

With as many games as there are (32) in the first round of the tournament, one would have to figure that there would be at least a couple of upsets.

Also Arkansas-Little Rock (#12) beat Georgia Tech (#5).

As a rule, I would also choose to have more upsets and "excitement" in the tournament. However, this year "my" team is Stanford, and they have absolutely no chance of beating UConn (no one does), and I don't want Stanford upset by anyone else. They're ranked #2 overall, and I'd consider it a huge success if they get that in the end. So the fewer upsets, the better, IMO.

Look,

Women's basketball is entertaining. Plus, UConn will lose.... You heard it here first...

Well, it's no wonder. Those colors look so horrid on TV...

According to today’s Washington Post – There have been no double-digit seeds that advanced to a region final of the NCAA women’s tournament since it expanded to 64 teams in 1994……No 11 San Diego State would be the first if they beat Duke today…..

Duke 66 – SDSU – 58. Oh well, there's always next yr.

Would have been great to see them advance, but they still had a great season. They'll take it next year.

I will have to watch some of it to let you know if I think it is boring.

Well, Tennessee lost in the Sweet 16, that would qualify as a major upset even it was to a #4 seed.

Baylor basketball, Elite 8 for both genders.

Kentucky is looking like it will take out a #1 seeded Nebraska team in the Sweet 16.
