Like him/them or not, Shane Battier used to get hammered while at Duke. That guy stepped in front of more drives to the basket than I ever saw.

From Wikipedia: While at Duke, Battier was often the best defender on the court. He frequently took charges which prompted the Cameron Crazies (Duke basketball fans) to chant, "Who's your daddy? Battier!"

PS - this just in: He averages 2.4 Assists and 8 Pts/ game and makes $6.9M this yr playing for the Rockets......

Xavier misses TWO uncontested lay-ups from point blank range in the final 20 seconds and loses when Stanford makes a lay-in just before the buzzer.

What is UConn's winning streak up to now? 76? Who's has the best shot at ending that streak?
