ND player touched the ball while hanging on the rim, what ya got???:D

Yeah, I guess hindsight is 20/20!

I thought this was a violation, no?? It seeks there was a play last week during a conference tourney where a player missed the dunk, held on with one hand and managed to getvthe ball and make the basket and they waved it off. Anyone remember this??

1) What violation?

2) As described, that is a violation for offensive basket interference.

#1 and #2 are apples and oranges.

Touching a ball that is not on or within the basket while hanging on the ring is not BI. Nor is it any other violation that I can think of.

Don't listen to announcers...PELEASE!!!!
 

I watched the game too and couldn't for the life of me understand what these announcers were talking about.

When will announcers learn not to comment on plays they know nothing about. 2 or 3 times the announcers said ND got away with an obvious violation. No retraction later on either.

'Hanging on the rim' is a penalty? NO?

It isn't a violation and never has been. It could be a technical foul though under certain circumstances.
