Coast to Coast Ref School 2010

Home

2010 Registration is now opening. I was wondering if there was any difference in the camps that are in each city. (Yes, I know they're in different cities and different teams will be playing. ;))

I also assume these aren't really hiring camps for any league or are they? I just think it would be an honor to listen to some NBA officials philosophy on the game, but a chance to recoup some of the camp fees later down the line would be nice.

I would not attend any camp that uses the phrase "to choose from" in their ad when proper grammar dictates the usage "from which to choose". :p

How much fun would this be?

"Video Review
After each game the officiating crew will go to a seperate video room to
review the game. During the review, an NBA referee will sit with the
crew to provide feedback and instruction. Video review is one of the
most important aspects to referee development. You will learn how to
break down a game tape like the pro's. Additionally, you will be given a
DVD to take home with you.Taking notes during the video review will
give you an opportunity to provide your own re-fresher course after
camp has ended."

I did two similar camps last year w/ NBA guys - Next Level (which a bunch of forum members were at) and Stripes University (some of the younger NBA guys had this).

These are pretty much pure teaching camps -- but there is a TON of information to glean and yes, video review with the clinicians is a blast!

Oh, I dunno. I my case this could take hours, be very humbling, and could make me want to give it up forever.........

Unless it's Tim Donaghy. That would be cool if he's working at the Vegas school. You could learn a lot about the spread.
