I didn't want to put them in the final four, but Dicky V made me do it.

Camron, the numbers might not be perfect, but there's no denying that universities make millions off the backs of these "student-athletes" in football and basketball especially, while giving them virtually nothing. How many of these young scholars graduate with crap degrees in "General Studies" and the like? Puh-lease.

You do realized that those "millions" are only accurate for a very small handful of universities...most of the 300+ NCAA D1 programs lose money...and what money they do make subsidizes the other 10-20 sports that lose money....particularly women's sports. Only a few of the programs, overall, are profitable.

Yep, so the tennis players and wrestlers should be paying the football and basketball players.

Well, there goes my bracket.

Adam Thu Mar 18, 2010 01:29pm

And Nova needs to pull this out.

Raymond Thu Mar 18, 2010 01:34pm

I had FLA and ODU winning, but that's about to get negated by Villanova's disappearing act.

Fortunately, I didn't have ND winning any more games after this, same for FL. Nova, OTOH....

26 Year Gap Thu Mar 18, 2010 03:06pm

Started out 0-1 like most folks. Wanted FL but picked BYU. Baylor better get in in gear though.
