More Knowledgeable Announcers
 

Last night on my way home I happened across a girls state final on the radio. Home team was up 6 in the last 2 minutes. Then, tragedy struck. The same official called two charging fouls on the home team, waving off two baskets, plus another holding foul on an "obvious jump ball." "Unbelievable" "Horrible" "Horrendous" calls, all three of them. One guy said, "I'm not a homer, I'm just watching the game. Not sure what this guy (the official) was doing." After all this injustice, the game is tied.

The game went to overtime, which was set up by this experienced crew of broadcasters. "Let's see. Not sure whose ball it will be on the alternating possession, or maybe they'll jump it up. I don't know the procedure for overtime."

My kind of announcers. No jump ball to start the overtime! Alternating possesion arrow, like God intended! How can I get these guys on the NFHS rules committee?

And from your vantage point, you could clearly see that the charge calls were correct and that the announcers were clearly wrong. No question about it! You had a perfect view of both plays! :):D

I miseed where the OP said the original calls were correct.

I have a television mounted in the center of my steering wheel. It's easily viewed there and doesn't interfere with me texting, drinking a cup of hot coffee, and watching my GPS navigation system. I do wish that I had an automatic transmission instead of a standard.

...for the CIA entrance off the GW Parkway! I am a former CIA employee and CIA security officers and/or Fairfax County police officers would briefly detain motorists if found stopped near the entrance or who had "accidentally" driven up the entrance road.
