I've coach for 10 years and am no expert, but I would say that ref's only make a couple obviously wrong calls per game. I mean calls that are clearly wrong. Do they miss some calls, sure. But I think, for the most part, referees do a tremendous job working under extreme pressure. Being a coach, I have a tendency to think that most calls against my team are questionable, but when I sit back, watch tape and look objectively at the calls, it's my subjectivity that's wrong, not the referees.

How nice... only a couple "obviously wrong" calls PER GAME. I'd beg to differ.

How about, "very few, if any, obviously wrong calls per game and only a couple calls that could go either way..."

Personally, I tend to agree with the coach across the board. A couple of obvious travels, contact on shots, etc. A number of "could have been a foul, but was there an advantage gained?" Perhaps a couple other "could have been a block, could have been a charge/player control foul", etc.

Take the compliment and move on.
