Shot clock violation

Where does the ball come in bounds at? Shot clock went off and the ball was near half court. It's Maryland Girls varsity. Most of the time on a shot clock violation, the ball is near the basket and we bring it in there ( baseline ) We did bring it in at the base line, but this was a first for me.

This will depend upon whatever modifications your state association has written, but the under NCAA rules "the ball shall be awarded to Team B at a designated spot nearest to where the violation occurred."
For shot clock violations, I have always understood that to mean the location of the ball.
