Welmer back to work
Working in Lawrence, KS tonight...Is this his first game back?
Hope he brought a staple gun to keep his pants up. :p
I'm surprised. All the word was that he was done for the year. Good for him for getting healthy and getting back.
So, how many games can he squeeze in before the season ends? 20? 30? 40? ;)
Looks slimmer than earlier this year. Hopefully he'll stay healthy and so will we.
Perfect. I can get a workout in while watching the second half.
Huggins got ejected in the last minute in a loss against UConn. Calhoun got whacked in about the first minute of the game. |

Seriously though, hope he does well and is ready to go. Not fun for anyone to miss games or suffer. But, ya gotta let your body rest..... |
I am watching him on the Iowa-NU game. It appears they are trying to keep him as the perpetual C. No matter who calls a foul, he stays C opposite table. Even Hartzell went ball side opposite table and went table side after the ball was rebounded to become new T on table side. Welmer does not look good at all while running. He is still very hurt.

JRut - you absolutely beat me to it by a few secs as I was waiting for the game to end. IMO he was laboring horribly, almost skipping at times as he fell behind the play to seemingly get himself going. He stayed away from the table and in the C almost the entire 2nd half. I never saw him administer a FT and seldom saw a rotation. It was kinda sad. His P's really covered for him.
