Been watching the NFHS videos...
 

It's amazing how many videos NFHS has uploaded to the website which highlight the incorrect call being made in a Block/Charge situation.

We all know the rules for making the right call, but in the end it comes down to a split-second decision based on what we think we saw.

I'm curious how many of the officials on this board have someone in the stands videoing your games so you can watch them later.

Sure...video review is very helpful. A great tool to get better.

If you can't get someone to video...try a mirror. Many officials are surprised by what they see...i.e. fist not punching a hole through the roof, stance looks off-balance, frown on face when reporting, etc.

BTW...I see you are from Onatario, Oregon...I have a friend that is the assistant coach at your local community college.

Do you officiate college ball/H.S. ball in that area?

Have done public games in the past but am more limited in my time so have been keeping more to HS private school league.
