flagrant foul/flagrant technical

What is the difference in administering the two fouls? Most importantly what examples can you give me as to when one would be applied in a game situation compared to the other.

Simple answer is there is no difference in the administration of either foul. The real difference is that a flagrant foul is a foul that occurs during a live ball and is generally for a foul involving excessive and uneccessary contact, a fight, or leaving the bench during a fight or when a fight may occur.

Flagrant technical fouls usually involve some sort of unsportsmanlike acts and most often occur during a deadball.

Both fouls result in 2 shots and the ball and the offender is ejected.

I assume you mean "flagrant PERSONAL" v. "flagrant Technical." There's no such animal as "flagrant foul" (without the P or T adjective added).

For a FP, as with all P fouls, the player fouled must shoot the FTs (if able), and the ball is inbounded at the spot of the foul.

For a FT, any player (or eligible team member) may shoot, and the ball is inbounded at the division line opposite the table.

There are two main differences, and they are important.
1. Flagrant personal fouls come with two free throws, but they must be shot by the fouled player (or his/her sub in the case of injury or DQ). A flagrant technical, like any other technical, has FTs that may be shot by any eligible player.
2. Flagrant personal fouls include a throwin for the fouled team at the spot nearest the foul. Flagrant techs, like any other technical fouls, include a throwin at the division line opposite the table.

Thanks for the help. So, can I say that a flagrant personal is similar to an intentional except for the fact that the offender player will be disqualified.
