Welpe is right. My point was this was a situation with a no-call, so there's no natural stop in action here. I would have simply said the ball remained live, but that's neither true nor relevant. A score makes the ball dead, but action is still on going so no real stoppage occurs.

I have no problem educating coaches, I've done it and it works at this level. I'm just not a fan of stopping the game to educate him on proper behavior.

Ok I misunderstood your meaning, assuming you meant because it was a "running clock game".

Not to put words in Snaqs mouth but I think that is what he meant when he said the clock is running the whole time. I don't think he was referencing a game with a running clock.
