attaching photos

I am generally not TOO technologically challenged; however, I have tried on several occasions to add a photo when posting a reply. I've seen it done, so I know it's possible. Perhaps someone here can give me some directions on how to get a photo attached to a reply/post.:o

There is an icon that says "insert image." That's your boy.

The photo has to be on the internet: what you're posting is a link that brings up the image when people load the page.

1. Upload your image to a site like imageshack.com
2. copy the link
3. click the image icon in the forum post box (looks like a little mountain)
4. paste the link

I get the same error msg when uploading from the internet site as when trying to upload from my computer. All my images are well under the 100kb limit, but I still get the error msg of an image that is too large. Any ideas?

It seems as though the forum quote is 0kb for uploaded files. Where did you see 100kb?

Therefore you should follow others instructions about using a photo already uploaded to someplace else on the internet.

As stated in my last post, I tried that. Loaded an image on Imageshack and pasted the link...got the same error msg. The 100kb size comes from the list showing what the file size limits are. I followed MByron's suggestion but I'm still getting the same error msg. What am I doing wrong?

Don't 'load' the image. When you find a picture, copy and paste the address up top [right click till it turns blue and gives you those instructions], and do what Jurassic said to do.

For example typing in:
HTML Code:

[IMG]http://images.google.com/images/nav_logo.png[/IMG]
produces
http://images.google.com/images/nav_logo.png
