blocked shot, with foul
 
A1 attempts a try, B5 leaps and swats ball out of bounds. Then B5 comes down almost on top of A1. I blow whistle and call a blocking foul with 2 shots.
I checked the rule later and couldn't seem to find what I needed for this situation

I'm guessing you need "the act of shooting". See 4-41

The try ends when the shooter lands, so there isn't any free throws awarded

Correct...if A1 had returned to the ground and then was fouled by B1, then you should have had a common foul--spot throw-in or bonus free throws.
