10 Seconds on FT
 

BV game this afternoon, partner calls 10 seconds on a FT shooter. Next trip down I am administering throw in to same player and I say to him "you need to get a new free throw routine" - he says "I have one, but those fans kept messing up my count b/c they were counting!" He had a good sense of humor about it. He did take a long time, so I can't disagree with my partner, but I can't remember the last time I have seen this called.

40 years of playing, watching, coaching and officiating and I have never seen it called anywhere.

27 years for me, and me neither.

I've gotten to 9 1/2 a few times. Usually the ones that take that long stink at FT shooting so you may as well call the violation.:D

As I posted in an old thread, I've done it once,and if I didn't I'd still be there.

Never called it either.

I did say to a coach once, "You may want to talk to #31, I got to n-i-n-e on him twice." ;)

Ten, Eleven, Twelve ...
 

Forty plus years for me.

That's the rare time when you call the violation.
