A Kentucky Newbie
Hello Guys & Gals :)
After officiating small elementary school games 5th thru 8th grade for the last 4 years, I've decided to take the plunge in becoming registered/licensed thru Kentucky. Passed my test, did the online rules clinic and received my "officials license" from KHSAA a couple days ago. While I don't think I'm going to get any games this season as this season is already 1/2 way over, I called our region host who said that the ball would get rolling next season. I'm continuing to read the NFHS Books that I received and know that when I referee my first JV or V game that I will probably be a nervous wreck. LOL I've stayed behind the shadow reading a lot of these posts here made, its nice to see ones helping another out while being able to kid around as well. Thank you. |

Can I ask what region you are from?
//I'm from Kentucky also. . . I never post on here, I actually just registered... But I read this site daily! Ha |
Ask your region host if there are any camps or clinics you can attend.
And welcome to the Forum. |
Welcome and good luck!

I'm in the 3rd region.
Where are you? And can you PM me your contact info? I will attend a clinic before I go out on my own just to be safe. |
FYI - there is a camp in Lexington you may be interested in.

Cost?

The cost of this camp is $250.00 which does not include meals or rooms. I went last year - good camp.

Been a good camp for years, I attended 2 summers in a row around 2000 or so. Great teachers and you get lots of feed back and they video every game for you! Video is the best way to go back and watch and learn from your mistakes. Good luck. (14th Region)
