So let me get this straight...

The guy from one team hits what appears to be the winning three and he and others run at the OPPOSING bench? and cause a mess?

How about a T for stupidity?

Somewhere there's an old thread on this. From a story in a Detroit newspaper, the call was labelled as being correct and the protest was turned down.
