When does the game end?
Is the game over when the horn sounds or when the clock goes to 00????

5-6-2 Each quarter or extra period ends when the signal illuminates or sounds indicating time has expired.

Never fully trust the scoreboard, especially with older scoreboards that don't tick off tenths of a second. In these cases, even when the time says 0:00, there are still nine tenths of a second left, enough time to catch and shoot.

The quarter ends when time has expired and all related activity is over. In many cases a quarter extends beyond both the horn sounding and the scoreboard showing all zeros. |
