DOG warning help

I don't have my books with me at work, and couldn't find what I was looking for with a quick search. Can someone help me with the rule/case play for delay of game warnings?
There are four types, one warning for any and then T correct? My partner and I were debating last night, he thought that was only for college and for HS there were 4 warnings, 1 for each. I thought this changed last year or the year before but forgot to look it up when I got home last night.
Thanks for any help.

In NCAA each violation carries its own warning and T.

In NFHS the warning is collective and the next violation of any is a T.

Fed-Not sure when it changed, however, one warning, 4-47, then T, 10-1-5.

Mechanics

Related question: I was told by an evaluator to treat a DOG warning like reporting a foul to the table, so both coaches can hear, etc. If this happens, say, for violating the plane after a made basket, would this then force a switch (in either 2- or 3-whistle)? If so, what is the mechanic, to make the non-calling official aware as quickly as possible to get him/her moving?

No switch, this is a violation not a foul. If you go to the T, then you switch accordingly.

This may have been different at some point, but it's been this way (one warning, then T, no matter which violation they commit) for a long time.

As to whether you switch or not, better ask your evaluator as there is no solid directive in the officials manual dealing with this issue.

Here's the specifics as to issues that lead to the DOG "T":

2006-07 NFHS Basketball Rules Changes

Rule Changes
3-5-3 Changed the guidelines for headbands and sweatbands.

3-6 Added that a school logo/mascot is also permitted on the pants, compression shorts, sweatbands and headbands.

5-10-1 The exact time observed by the official may be placed on the clock when a timer's mistake has occurred.

4-47-4 A fourth warning for delay was added for failure to have the court ready to play following any time-out.

9-2-11, 10-1-5 c, d Changed the procedure for delay warnings to only one warning for any of four delay situations (previously three).

The specifics are that you switch for fouls, and do not switch for violations. That said, you are right to check local listings as it could be very different in Rome.

Is this an example of a mixed metaphor?

He had it backwards. In college there are four separate warnings possible. As justacoach posted the NFHS changed to only a single warning in the 2006-07 season.

I didn't know that; thought it was always one warning.
