I KNOW he was watching me.

Lazy officials DRIVE ME NUTS!

What drives me nuts is when after I call a foul and designate the throw-in, I'll report, turn around and the other official has a totally different throw-in spot.

Or, worse yet, you turn around and your partner is still standing where he was when you called the foul expecting you to return to the spot for YOUR throw-in. 😕

Make the correction before the ball is put into play.

Absolutely agree! You'll get a TWEEET and point to the spot from me.

Do you mean as in 2.4.2.D:
D. Non-Calling Official
1. The non-calling official should freeze his/her field of vision to observe players until the calling official completes reporting to the table and turns to observe the players.
2. Ignore the ball while the foul is being reported.
🙂

Yes. I should have added that this is what I do.

It says to freeze his field of vision, not his feet. The official should be moving to his new location, while continuing to look at the players. The official should not freeze in his location.

You skipped to *option* D4, "or as the reporting official is completing the reporting", didn't you?
What about *option* 3? Do you actually anticipate or do you merely
observe? 😎

Yeah, it drives me nuts when they're too lazy to use their entire hands to call a T. 😠

That a whole different take on "giving the coach the finger" 😉

I'm too lazy to read parts 3 and 4. 😉

I am so lazy that I prefer to be the U2 so that I do not have to chop in the clock to start the game. 😀

Yeah, but you have to run all the way to the other side of the court after the anthem before the game even starts.....sheesh, I'm tired just thinking about it! 😉

Hey Mark! How about those Buckeyes!!!!!!! Its Duck Season!!!!!!!

I saw that the OP was from Ohio and was scared he watched MY game!!!! 😀 Then I realized he was from Mark's side of the state. 😛

And I'm even more extreme northwest than Toledo. But I assure you my partner the other night was not Mark. Unless Mark goes by Larry.

26 Year Gap

Well, I lined up wrong as L on a FT. I told the guy who was tableside that he looked like he wanted to be the C. I made up for it by taking my travel violation to the proper side of the endline and he had to go long as the new L.

Hey, I may live in Toledo (I am married to a Toledo girl), but I grew up in Youngstown and have been member of the Trumbull Co. Bkb. Off. Assn. since the 1971-72 season. You can take the boy out of NE Ohio, but you can't take the NE Ohio out of the boy. 😀

P.S. It is Duck hunting season. I just wonder if the University of Michigan got what it wanted for Christmas: a football team. 😀
