an officiating first for me

Tournament game. 5th place game. Two bad teams but one worse than the other. Halftime score is 36-3. AD of the host school walks in and says "what is the rule for running clock" We tell him and he says what do we do to run it the entire half. We told him it was up to him if they want to institute their own tournament rules. He walks back in about 3 minutes later and says the team trailings AD was perfectly fine with a running clock and said she would inform the coach. The team that was winning said they had been on the other side of lopsided and understood how the other squad felt and was fine with a running clock........so, we had a running clock the entire half. Final score 49-6.
Happy New Year to us as a crew. The crew following us appreciated it as well since they would get their game going on time.

Anyone else have anything like this. Just curious.

My mistake. This was the 7th place not the 5th. :(

The best 9-10 year old team I ever had lost in a tournament semifinal by the incredible score of 2-0.

Let's just say the defense was intense.

Should this be posted on the soccer forum? ;)

I actually thought it should be on Sportscenter, but I didn't see it there.
