is this really a travel?
And yet another situation I just remembered about during a game over the weekend. I'm L, my partner is T in a BJV. Guard dribbles away from T towards me but still outside of 3-point line. Ball inadvertently bounces a little too high and player lets it go up to avoid being called for carrying. He's following the ball for a few steps until he's able to safely grab and control the ball. My partner whistles it dead and calls travel. Wouldn't this be an example of interrupted dribble as per NFHS 4-15-5?
Your thoughts please? |

1. No it's not a travel. 2. It may be an interrupted dribble or it may just be the player ending the dribble. 3. You must be on vacation and currently addicted to this forum. :D 4. You really enjoy officiating basketball. 5. You are a long time lurker, new poster. |

2. same as 1 3. I'm new to the forum and I get addicted to things easily. Also, I'm not working right now as I just graduated in May and this economy sucks so much. I start an internship in March, so until then officiating is my income and spend most of my days on the computer, with friends or out training on my bicycle. 4. Yes, I do enjoy officiating basketball (and soccer as well), and I play pick-up basketball on thursday nights. 5. huh? |
