T or Not

HS VG. I was watching both of these situations from the stands tonight.

1. Coach yells "Jesus" during live ball loud enough that I hear it from all the way across the gym. Not sure if he was upset at the reffs or players or both. No whistle, reff right by bench when he said it.

2. Coaches player travels, coach then stomps his foot out of anger loud enough that it could be heard across the gym. Obvious travel, stomp was directed at player.

Are these technical worthy?

No. If they were, many coaches would never get out of the first quarter.

Another T or not to T question for everyone, tonight had V, JV, & C-Squad Boys' games tonight. In every single game, the visiting coach was rarely inside the coaches box & seemed to argue every play with floor officials while standing 2-3 feet out on the floor.

Should the visiting coach(s) of gotten whacked?

Is it commonplace for the JV & C-Squad coaches to do the same exact bench management & mannerisms as the HC?

Was just wondering about this. The only near T we had the whole night, was a bit of a scuffle during the BV Game, after a visiting player got called on a foul that his coach said was BS & the player minorly retaliated. After hearing the floor officials talking pre-game & halftime they were a veteran crew with tough leather hides for skin. Considering very little got to them.

This was one of the rare times, I've seen all three coaches act the same way through all the games the same way.

I don't notice "small" violations of the coach's box rule unless the coaches starts calling attention to themselves. At that point, "warn then whack!"

He was just spontaneously praying. I do it all the time. Notice my signature, below. We just celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Saturday, December 12. Maybe he was praying to her.

Maybe the reff should of just replied, "Yes my son".

I'm Trail standing right in front of coach when a player from the opposing team hits his third 3-pointer in a row. Coach gives a moaning "Jesus" right after it goes in. Just before turning to head back to the other end I said, "Nope, just #23." :D

Would it matter if he used both first and last name?

Had an identical situation the other night with the 3 point drilling player being of Hispanic descent. My remark to the coach was " I think he pronounces it 'Hay-Zeus'".

:D

You didn't? Well perhaps you should have: he lived at home when he was 33, he thought his mother was a virgin, and his mother thought he was God!
