Double Dribble or not?

Player A1 recieves a pass. A1 then pushes the ball to the floor with both hands. The ball bounces back up and A1 continues dribbling with just one hand contacting the ball. Is this legal, or did A1 pushing the ball to the floor with both hands end the dribble and thus cause a double dribble when A1 continued to dribble?

Yes this is legal. You can start a dribble with two hands.

Peace

How could his pushing the ball to the floor with both hands end the dribble, if he was just starting the dribble by doing that?

Please understand that a player may begin a dribble with both hands, but may not continue a dribble after touching the ball with both hands.

Hope that helps eliminate your confusion.

How could he be ending a dribble that hadn't begun yet?
