Tim Donaghy tells all?

Just saw a television promo that Tim Donaghy will be on 60 minutes tonight (Sunday). Maybe he's just going to be giving out the spread on all the BCS bowl games. :D

disgraced former Ref will act disgracefuly

I'd like to think maybe he'd show some remorse for his using his position as one of the best at his trade to place bets and then influence outcomes of the games he was working, err, betting on (yeah, working). He was caught and he is disgraced. But more likely he will pitch his book by backing up his assertions claiming he was just doing what other referee's do, and the difference is that he was caught. Probably some truth in that too. After all, referee's, are human too, and no less likely to do stupid crap just like anyone else.

The NBA is all political anyway. With the egomaniacs that call it, (see Joey Crawford for example), does any of this "player punishing" or "favoring" surprise anyone? Heck no!

Does anyone seriously think Donaghy has any credibility whatsoever?

I agree.

He did not seem sincerely remorseful.

K-Bach Sun Dec 06, 2009 08:13pm

Must be hard to fake remorse when the interviewer is schilling your "tell-all" book for you during the interview.

Blech!

I found the discussion on AI "the Answer" interesting....especially when they showed the look of bewilderment on his face on the game film.

I have been an avid watcher of 60 Minutes since it first went on the air, but I did not watch it last night because Tim Donaghy had nothing to say that I wanted to hear unless he was going to give a heart felt apologize to the entire (including soccer officials, :D) sports officiating community for the disgusting thing that he did. He had the best sports officiating job in the world and he totally urinated on it and every sports official that came before him.

I just ordered the book last night. I'm kind of interested to listen to some of the allegations that he has put in writing, may be complete bs or some actual fact, the only one who ultimately know what went on is Donaghy himself.

Anyone else ordered the book or have any feelings? I know the feelings wont be strong but it's kind of like a train wreck, you cant help but look.
