Motorola Droid and Arbitersports?
Is anyone using the droid to log in to arbitersports? I have not been able to successfully log in. I get, "Your session has timed out" message.
What settings did you change to fix it? |

I finally fixed it!
Ok. I can't tell you how I did it. But I was able to finally log in by clearing cache, log files, and cookies. Then I tried logging in via three different screens. I guess the site grew tires of me beating on it and it gave up and let me in.
Thanks to mbryon for helping. |

Samsung Omnia
For what it's worth I have no touble logging in using my Samsung Omnia on Verizon. What browser are you using? I am accessing it using Opera 10. I know if you are using IE the timeout issue happens on some sites due to the slow loading of IE.

I'll be glad when they get "an app for that," or at least get a wireless site.

People don't even know how they fixed the log in problem. It sounds confusing. No way Apple will approve the Arbiter application

@ Indianaref: I called tech support for arbiter sports yesterday and he said they do not support mobile devices on the site. However that does not mean that mobile devices can't use it. He also said to use the back door of arbitersports.com/generic/default.aspx
@ Ncaaref: I am using the browser that comes with the DROID. The phone runs on Android 2.0 OS but I have no idea what the actual browser is. I would not think the speed of the browser is the issue as it loads very quickly. Yes I wish there was an app. There a thread on here a few weeks ago were someone said they had talked to arbiter and they said they were working on the app but had no other details. |

Do I phone apps work on the droid. I am thinking of getting one and if an app becomes available that would make a huge difference in my decision.

You can check out Android Market and see if there is something close or similar. This phone is SWEET! I love it. |

I just purchased the new Droid myself and love it. When I first got it, the Arbiter site was working perfectly. However, about a week ago I started having problems logging in as well. Kept saying my session has timed out.
I noticed around that time that I got an email from them stating that some changes have been made to their site. Hmmm…. I emailed their tech support and they replied back saying they didn’t support mobile devices. Well, I kept dinkin’ around with it and I randomly selected the “Remember Me” option on a login attempt and it still failed. But after that if I go directly to the home page from a new browser window, it shows my name in upper right hand corner and that I’m logged in. So, from there I’m able to get to my schedule and everything else. Got me why it works that way. |

In general, no. The iPhone OS and Android are incompatible. Some app designers will have builds for each OS though, so the "same app" will be available for both platforms (eventually).

Did you ever have the phone remember your pw or did you just use the button on the arbiter for remember me? |
