How does this stupid noose work
OK. My order comes in today. I have a Smitty noose with no instructions. I have a pastic round thing on one end and a hook on the other. How is this supid thing supposed to get to look like it does in the catalog???????????:confused::o

The string starts in the plastic button thingee, comes out the top, loops back down through the button thingee, then sticks out the bottom where the whistle attaching hook thingamabob is. If the string is pulled all the way through the button thingee, there should be a short bit of string that comes out and back down. Grab that and tug. You should start to see a loop for your neck appear.

It sounds like the plastic slider is slid all the way up on the lanyard. One end of the lanyard is anchored into the plastic slider, the other end feeds through a hole in the slider and a hook is attached to the other side. You should be able to slide the slider and create a bigger loop in the lanyard, which goes over your head.
And...BITS beats me to it. |
Thanks guys, but I actually did figure it out before I got back on. The string had been pulled very tightly into the plastic holder.

Thingees, thingaamabobs, hooks and sliders.... this forum is getting way too technical for me! :)

Pull the stringy thing out of the button thingy.
Throw the hook over the beam. Slip your neck into the noose. Tighten. Step off the chair. |
Nice that you come to us for help on how to use that noose. The alternative, your local Klan organization, wouldn't be the brightest idea. ;)
