CCAA camp in Vegas
 

Are there any forum members attending the CCAA camp in Las Vegas next week? I actually know of at least one, but was wondering if there will be others.

There are 4 or 5 tournaments going on at the same time and I may try to find a local bar/restaurant so some officials can meet up. There are some officials coming in from California, Arizona, Utah and Texas to work some games with our group.

If you will be in town, let me know.

There are 2 sessions of campers. Session 1 will officiate Thursday and Friday games. Session 2 will officiate Saturday and Sunday games. They officiate the games only at Foothill and Green Valley HS. There is a "social" Friday night where both sessions will get together. I believe it will be at the downtown Main Street Hotel at the 777 Sports Bar around 9pm.

From my experience, most of the officials who are from out of state are staying at The Plaza Hotel in downtown. By the end of every camp day, we are swapping stories and drinking beers at the 777. It has lots of TVs, good eats, and drinks with a very modest price. It's not hard to pick out the group since at least one person will be wearing a CCAA shirt.

Plus, all the hookers will be wearing stripes! ;)

Good information. Although I will not be attending that camp, I know I will know a lot of the officials there and I will tell the guys working the tournaments with us about the time/place.

Yes this is the location. From what I understand, the camp "social" is being held in a hall near the 777 Sports Bar. Officials from the camp will most likely find their way to the sports bar as they do every night of the camp. It's always great to see other officials from the other tournament and to swap stories of the day.
