Iowa Conference - Camp This Weekend

Anyone heading to Indianola, IA for the Iowa Conference (D3) camp this weekend?

Better yet, anyone been there before and know what kind of ball to expect?

If I was Padgett, I might reply, "Probably one of those round, orange-ish brown ones."

But since I'm not, I won't. :D

Oh yeah - he'd probably have a link to a pic of a ball, too.

I have been to this camp in years past but am not attending this year. The ball is usually decent at this camp. The majority of teams will be varsity teams from the state of Iowa, with an occasional team from the Omaha area. The person running the camp is one of my mentors. He is a straight-shooter and VERY big on mechanics. I work some high school ball for him. Good luck.

Last place receives a one-way ticket to Portland. ;)

Don't discount the value of a good ear of sweet corn.

As long as those young guys stay away from the Portland mayor they'll be OK. Boy - I'm glad I live in the suburbs.

How did you think the camp went?

not bad!

Josh-

Thought it was pretty decent. The quality of play was pretty good, the officiating was solid.

My only beef was that the crews remained the same-8 games with the same two partners (one of whom was under-qualified to be at this camp, IMO).

Camp director is a good man with excellent teaching skills. Only wish he'd hire enough evaluators to have each court covered for every game (I had 2 games with no observation)
