Talking You won't hear this from a basketball announcer
Watching a Penguins - Caps playoff game and the announcer said, "The Penguin defensemen are pinching intelligently today." I know what it means, but it just sounded funny.

BTW - hockey is great. I think we should allow checking in basketball.

Didn't they call a blocked shot a checked shot in the old days? So there is checking.

i was watching a hockey playoff game and the color guy says something like this- "this power play will be like a laxative for their constipated play"
