And even more impressive than all this other drivel - the Mariners have a winning record!! And Griffey not only hit a home run, he made it through an entire game without being injured!!

See...strange and wonderful things are happening.

So, he projects out to having 162 homers this season? Not bad for a possible Hall-of-Famer.

If Griffey makes it through his career without being mentioned in connection with steroids, that'll be the only record he needs to get into the Hall.

If anyone is inocculated from the steroid issue, it's Jr. All his injuries should make that clear.

Sox win their opener. Beckett and Pap both look phenomenal. Beckett struck out 10, and Pap had an easy 9th. Okie struggled a little in the 8th, but Tek hit a homer, which is good news. A bounceback season offensively for him would mean really good things for the Sox.
