Depends on the conference and what they want. Most don't want the L doing it...there are a couple of conferences that don't seem to mind it quite so much.

And, of course, there are assignors who only care when YOU do it. . .

I have never heard this from any of my supervisors...the whole objective is to get the call right...Tina Napier is a pretty damn good official and she got it right. What do you want the lead to look at when the ball is in their primary?

Did I say that I think she was wrong? Did I say that she shouldn't have called it? Did I say that the L should never call a shot clock violation?

Nope, nope, and nope would be the correct answers to those questions. I responded to someone who said it was "taboo" for the L to have a shot clock violation. End of story. I'm glad that none of your supervisors have ever told you that...maybe your supervisors make more sense than some of the ones I work for.
