Not that I've heard. Whoever is on ball has 1st crack at it.

I have never heard this from any of my supervisors...the whole objective is to get the call right...Tina Napier is a pretty damn good official and she got it right. What do you want the lead to look at when the ball is in their primary?

I agree. I thought it was pretty neat.

I will be attending tomorrow's game. Be on the look out for me!

Did I say that I think she was wrong? Did I say that she shouldn't have called it? Did I say that the L should never call a shot clock violation?

Nope, nope, and nope would be the correct answers to those questions. I responded to someone who said it was "taboo" for the L to have a shot clock violation. End of story. I'm glad that none of your supervisors have ever told you that...maybe your supervisors make more sense than some of the ones I work for.

Juulie - I worked with a partner in a game last December in which he called "illegal use of feet" and made a "tripping" mechanic.

I still have nightmares.

Did you see it? I see what you're saying and it seems reasonable. The signals looked to me to be a little more scripted than that, but a really smooth, graceful attractive ref could do almost anything and make it look well thought out, eh, zebe?

Yea, Nevada, I expect you're right.

mbyron, if I could have found a clip, or made a picture, believe me, I would have. I was hoping someone else had noticed it. It was just a step, signal, point, then return to position. very solid and planned looking.

regarding the "delayed foul" it's a soccer thing, Old School, and this looked very similar.
