Has anyone seen this?
Apparently there is a movie made in 2007 called "Basketball Man". According to IMDb, it's the life and legacy of Dr. James Naismith, inventor of the game of basketball and its 13 original rules, as told through the mission of his grandson, Ian, who travels the country in an RV, carrying the original rules in a golden attache case, spreading the cause of sportsmanship.
Appearing in it are Carmelo Anthony , Red Auerbach, Rick Barry, Jerry Colangelo (who attended the same HS as me - I went there with his sister), Bob Cousy, Michael Jordan, Sam Lacey, Steve Nash, Norm Nixon, Oscar Robertson, David Stern, Pat Summitt, Norm Van Lier and John Wooden, among others. I've never heard of it but I would love to see it. Any info anyone? |
I hadn't heard of it until you mentioned it. Here's more info if anyone else is interested in getting the DVD. Sure looks interesting with quite an extensive list of contributors
