shot clock, ten second count

Quick questions because I know it has been asked but just had some trouble finding it. Does the shot and 10 count begin once there is control by the team? Or right when there is contact by the team even if no control? If A inbounding and B touches first then hits A do you wait for control to start the 10 second count?

Both wait for team control, both continue through fumbles, tips, and momentary scrambles.

Sorry, but that is not correct.

When play resumes from a throw-in, the shot clock starts on the first inbounds touch by any player and control is not required.

You are right that the 10-second backcourt count does require team control to begin.

NCAA

2-11-5 ... Start the timing device when a player inbounds legally touches or is
touched by the ball on a throw-in or when a team initially gains possession
from a jump ball, an unsuccessful try for goal or when possession is gained
of a loose ball after a jump ball or unsuccessful try for goal.
