Then you wouldn't be officiating here in Oregon. :p

Then that Target space on the shirt is bigger in Oregon, no? :D

So officiating in Oregon is a form of assisted suicide?

Just the overtime games, perhaps.

I'm sorry. We have a state law against those horrible things. First time offenders are locked in a dark closet for 24 hours with Billy Packer.

The good news is that there's never been a second time offender. I guess the punishment works.

More importantly, could you buy space on yourself?

If so, what would be the best location for the "No OT!" banner?

Would foreheads be rentable -- or is that derriere material?

Actually, Goodyear contacted me about that last season. They said there was the same amount of room available for their logo that's on their blimps. My wife agrees.

From what you've told us about her, your wife appears to be an honest and charitable woman!

She keeps me in line. 10 years ago, when we incorporated our business, I told her I thought we should name the company after me. She said she didn't think the state would let us register "Dum$hit, Inc.".

All this honesty, and she's an incredible babe, too. :)

Plus... it's more difficult to get a license plate of your business name if your business has Dum$hit in it. :D

I'm not sure IANA allows swear words in domain names, though.

I joined the convo late, but I have to say that is the most unprofessional thing I've seen in many years. Imagine taking the floor wearing that....

...belt. :O

Kelvin green Sat Mar 28, 2009 10:33am

Yeah but I bet he did not have to buy it... gets it new ones when he needs to ...

Karin Mon Mar 30, 2009 08:56pm

A belt is a compulsory part of a FIBA refs uniform. Also the small logos on refs shirt are:a the basketball Australia one b.the WNBL logo.

The large one is the 'defence force' logo. They are the sponsors of the AWNBL-sadly unlike our nitpicking Northern Hemisphere colleagues, our leagues don't have enough funding to be able to run without sponsors contibuting to costs of transporting and accomodating officials.

BUT check the NZNBL logos-that is a target on their back-one official (originally from Northern Hemisphere) refused to wear logo on a TV game as was told you will be dropped from Panel and in fact was not rostered for 4 weeks as punishment. Officials | Basketball New Zealand logo on right hand
You can imagine the comments from courtside announcers!
