It is 11:18pm central time, and CBS is having to flip between TWO overtime games!!! WOW!! This is awesome basketball!! Congrats to Wisconsin and Sienna . . . two incredible games, two great wins!!

I suppose it depends on whether one is a fan of the winning team, or the losing team!

In Other Words....
So, what you're saying is, if we go to the NCAA Official's Thread, we won't find Mark Padgett as an Official at either of these games, correct?

Actually, I had to turn down their request to work playoff games here in Portland because I had already committed to some neighborhood driveway games and it made for a scheduling conflict.

If they would schedule them correctly, they wouldn't have to do that. The start times should be seperated by 30-40 minutes, not the 10-15 they are. That way, they'd rarely have competing endgames. In fact, my local CBS used to use their alternate digital channel to show another region's broadcast. I'd flip between the two myself based on what I was interested in....but not this year...the alternate channel was dark. I know MMOD is available but the picture is not that great.

You're kidding, right?
If you use the feature at the base of the screen and it advance it to "Best," it's HD quality!!!!

In order to get that high of quality though I remember having to download their HQ player instead of the normal one. If some peoples computers or internet can't handle the higher bandwidth, then I imaging that the pic might not be the greatest.

CBS has indicated that MMOD is "broadcasting" the HQ (note HQ, not HD) content at about 1.5Mbps where the "Standard Qaulity" is about 0.5Mbps. The MMOD HQ may look decent enough in a small window or monitor and it may look better than most web broadcasts but it is approximate VHS quality. It is certainly less than even standard DVD quality. Note that while a lot of people have "broadband", what most have is still not nearly good enough to stream true HD video. For some interesting info, see (from Here's what fake HD video looks like | George Ou | ZDNet.com):
