Bounce pass
I am trying to get a grasp of the rules in regard to dribbling.
From what i can see a bounce pass could be looked at as the start of a dribble (intentional pushing the ball to the floor). Can one explain why it is not considered to be so? Why important a) double dribble b) travel |
Because any possibility for a violation could only occur if the passer retrieved the pass.

Depends upon what happens after the bounce. Player A throws a bounce pass to A2, who breaks the wrong way as the pass is thrown. Player A then secures the ball, which has not been touched by anyone else. If he had already dribbled and ended his dribble before attempting the bounce pass, he is guilty of double dribble when he is the first to touch the ball after the "pass".
