Fans???
I was at a game 2 nights ago and the home team administration came over to 2 fans in front of me and told them that they were not allowed to stand and yell during the game. ( By order of the officials ). I heard everything. The guy said " That's a crappy call" and the lady said " you got to make the same call at both ends"
And yes, they were standing when making these remarks. Are these officials thin skinned or are they right? |
Did it occur to you that this was done totally by the home administration and not the official?
Just because there was a conversation with the official and the game management, does not mean the official told them what to say or not say to those fans. Peace |

My provincial basketball authority has a zero tolerance policy. I rarely have to enact it, but it is there if it's needed. Maybe this game had something similar? But in general, I would say that the officials are on the thin-skinned side of the equation. :) |

However, if the officials did tell the admin to take care of it and that is all the fans actually said then yes, I would say they are a little thin skinned. |
I agree that if this direction actually came from the officials, they did not react properly. Instead, one of them should have gone over to the two people and knocked their heads together. I think this is the responsibility of the R.

Just because you heard what the person claimed the official said does not mean that is something the officials actually said. I only say this because I was accused of ejecting fans when I was not at all responsible. It is possible that the person told them what the official said when only the official might have brought something to their attention. Peace |
All I know is what I heard nothing more.

I'm looking but I don't see where he asked you whether it was fair or not. :D
