consecutive timeouts

can you call consecutive timeouts in overtime?

Yes, you may grant a REQUEST for consecutive TOs, as long as the clock has started for the extra period.

I can, yes. Coaches can't. However, they can request consecutive timeouts.

4-12-3: Successive time-outs shall not be granted after expiration of playing time for the fourth quarter or any extra period.

As long as it is prior to the expiration of time in the extra period.

Depends on what "in" means in the phrase "in overtime" as you said in the OP.

During the period of time between the jump ball, and the end of the overtime period, consecutive timeouts may be granted.

If regulation time has ended, then consecutive timeouts can not be granted.

If an overtime period time has ended, then consecutive timeouts can not be granted.

And it's related action.

Read the rule again; it's after the expiration of playing time, not play. It's to prevent a coach from burning 5 TOs in an effort to ice a shooter.

Nope, whether there is time on the clock or not is the ONLY restriction.

Related activity has nothing to do with the rule.

My bad. You're both right.

I stopped reading OT rules after graduating from Padgett's class. :p
