I have done about every skill level, age group, and major organization, in 30 plus years of Refereeing, but on Sunday afternoon I had a first.

Time out for a Yarmulke adjustment. :eek:

doing a youth tournament the was a team from the local Jewish Community center and they played complete with their Yarmulke and prayers shawls.

That is one reason I love it there is something new all the time.

Serious question - how did they keep them in place? This is normally done with a barrette (sp) or bobby pin of some kind. Just curious.

Yes I questioned their use but the letter they had from the league covered the bobbie pins to hold the yarmulke on.

I called a few youth games at a Jewish center - most wore the yarmulke; a few had the tassles (I don't know their names/significance). I recall that it was pretty good ball. I got a little kick out of "judging" a few of the big names: David, Joshua, and Isaiah, etc.

Did the letter cover the prayer shawls, too? Seems like those could be a real safety hazard!
