Initially sounds like a few too many free throws.

My question is say Players A1, B1,B2,B3 leave the bench but don't participate in the fight would Team A shoot 4 free throws ?

Does it matter if they actually fought ?

Yes.

I stole an article from someone on the 4 categories (players, coaches, bench players who participate, bench players who don't participate) and how to deal with each andhow they offset. Search for it.

Plus, I think the summary of fouls in rule 10 (now) has the same information.

This game was talked about in this thread, lots of good responses. 3x too many free throws IMO.
