Scorekeepers Fight
 

This might be a first...2 scorekeepers have a fight. One threw water on the other, who responded with a quick punch, drawing blood. Then, back to work like nothing happened. The punchee (home team) got medical attention, while the puncher was escorted out. Speaking to another scorer from the same league who knows the puncher very well, he says it was not surprising that the other guy threw water on him...complete jerk.

They were arguing over how many fouls a certain player had. Why didn't they just split the difference and give him 3 1/2?

I believe this is a game where Mark was reffing and the one scorekeepr told the other that if he just skipped a basket or miscounted the game would go into OT. Whereas the other scorekeepr, who happened to be Mr. Padgett's neighbor, stuck up for Mark and fisticuffs ensued...... Just a thought! :D

LOL. :D I like how the guy who got punched just sat there and kept observing the game.

Add "table monitor" to the list of officials' duties in Massachusetts...seems like it fits in with "handshake monitor"

Were the scorekeepers introduced in the pregame? You know, "in this corner, undefeated champion Joe Blow, and in this corner, winless loser Ornery Johnny." :D
