No officlals, no game

Haven't seen this posted here. Sorry if it was. Anyway, Talladega-Grambling earlier this week. The teams are there, but no officials. Grambling representatives point a finger at the conference: conference assistant commissioner says scheduling the officials is the responsibility of the home school.

Here's a link.

I think I was open that night.

Would they let a high school crew ref a game at that level? Probably not with shot clock, etc to worry about.

Sorry. I was afraid of that, but I looked through some threads and searched for "Grambling" and didn't find that thread. Obviously, I didn't look hard enough.

Okay, let's say the conference is responsible for scheduling officials.

Who's responsible for paying them, on site, before the game?

And to do that, don't you have to know three names to make the checks out to?

So if I don't know who to make the checks out, doesn't that tell me to call the conference office and ask,"Who are the officials for our game with Talledega?"

IOW, the folks at Grambling are full of poo.
