My assoc has just been advised that one of its own is a registered sex offender (1988). Additionally, organizations that we have contracts with, don't want this official doing any more youth bb. Any legal help on this issue would certainly help. Any laws against this matter? Association's policies??

In Illinois, all licensed referees must submit a copy of their driver's license annually and the state does a background check on everyone. In addition, we are liable for reporting any charges against us for any type of felony.

In Illinois most sex offenders are on some type of probation or parole and most probation orders strictly forbid a registered sex offender from being around children. If you know who this person is, you might want to find out who his probation officer is because he may be violating his probation.
