Oklahoma @ Oklahoma State Game
Did anyone see #44 of OSU slap the Oklahoma player #23 upside the head after a made basket...this was after he shoved a different Oklahoma player with two hands in the back about five feet under the basket. The officials called a Class A technical foul, would anyone here thought about throwing the OSU player? I don't think they went to the monitor to see if it was a punch or not.
Basketball NCAA Rule 4: Definitions Section 26: Fighting - Article 2 A fight is a confrontation involving one or more players, coaches or other team personnel wherein (but not limited to) a fist, hand, arm, foot, knee or leg is used to combatively strike the other individual. |
I am not sure I would have tossed the player. I did see the play you are talking about.
I would though, would have liked to be in the locker room for the post game conversation with the crew. |
I didn't see the play you mention. Was there a call?
What I did see (sorry to hijack) was an Oklahoma player wearing a long-sleeved undershirt with a Nike swish on the bicep. How was this allowed? |
I saw most of that game, including the play from the OP. It was physical all night -- hell, they had 3 or 4 T's in the first 3 minutes! I thought the officials got it right. They got another OSU player for a dead-ball contact T on OK's big man late in the game. Another good call, and a good job keeping that game under control.

I think one for the OSU player got away with a kick to the ribs of a Oklahoma player that was on the ground that lead to the Oklahoma player getting whacked.

It was ridiculous. |
We can only hope that the Big 12 takes a look a the game tape and suspends OSU #44.
