Here’s what I found searching the web…..and I bet you could too.

What was the diagnosis on Steve Welmer, the college basketball official who was working the Kansas-Michigan State game and was forced to leave with an injury?

Source 1) According to sources, Welmer suffered a broken bone in a foot and will be unable to officiate for the remainder of the season.

Source 2) The well-traveled official was scheduled to join Ed Hightower and Rick Hartzell on the crew for the Iowa-Michigan game, but a foot injury suffered during Saturday’s Kansas-Michigan State game at East Lansing, Mich., will sideline Welmer for an indefinite period of time.

I won't of course swear by any of the above, but it's recent info.
