I've heard that NCAA officials Tim Higgins and John Higgins are father and son, respectively. Because they do not look like they're related, I question this. Does anyone have some authoritative information? Thank you.

They are not related at all.

No, I worked with John's brother Kelly who was the AD at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in the mid-late 90's.

No, John is from Omaha and his father is Roger Higgins. Roger was a long-time coach and athletic director in various high schools in Omaha.
